Who We Are
The Guesthouse Shelter started 20 years ago as Midland Out of the Cold, providing winter relief for those on the streets of North Simcoe. We have since grown to meet the needs of our community, offering year-round shelter at our permanent location in downtown Midland. We offer low-barrier services, often as the first step for someone trying to get their life back together.
Why The Guesthouse
The Guesthouse Shelter is North Simcoe’s only emergency shelter for those experiencing, or at imminent risk of homelessness. We partner with many community agencies so that in addition to in-house supports, people get connected with community services for wrap-around support to find the quickest housing and stability.
